Sendai is the most populous city in Tohoku District, with a metropolitan area population of approximately 1 million.
It is the capital city of Miyagi prefecture, and was established in 1601 by Lord Date Masamune, is called “City of Trees” with many trees in all around the city, and “Achademic City”.

Sendai is located on Japanese North East facing to the pacific ocean.
